You might not have heard of them yet - but Brain Blasterz will be on a shelf near you very soon!

I'm a massive fan on sour sweets, and it's not unusual to find them with fairly extreme names, trying to emphasise just how sour they are.

In Spain, I'm pretty sure I remember eating something called an 'electric shock' which was surprisingly only mildly sour.

The latest trend in sour sweets in Brain Blasterz, which are made by Welsh company Bon Bon Buddies.

The company itself specialises in branded confectionery (Teletubbies advent calendars, Barbie chocolate eggs, that sort of thing) but it's their own label of Brain Blasterz which is set to hit shelves in China this month.

Already successful in the UK and several other countries, the company is confident that Chinese consumers will love the sweets.

Managing Director Justin Thomas told the Wales Online website: ''We’re extremely proud of our Brain Blasterz range and we’re thrilled to be bringing this international favourite to new audiences in China.''

The news follows Bon Bon Buddies' recent move to open a new Chinese headquarters in Hong Kong, alongside its eight European sales and distribution centres.
