Mandarin Takes Off in Nigeria

 
 

As economic ties with China grow, more and more Nigerians are leaning Mandarin.

That's according to The Japan Times, who report that the language could soon join the syllabus at Primary and Secondary schools.

China currently invests close to $2 billion a year into the African Country, with key projects including oil, rail and telecommunications networks.

The report confirms expert opinion that as China's influence in the rest of the World grows, increasing numbers of people will study Chinese.
