Could Performing Arts Help Tackle Mental Illness In Children?

1 in 10 children aged 5-16, an average of 3 children in every classroom, suffer from a diagnosable mental health problem such as depression, anxiety or an eating disorder. Stagecoach Performing Arts are supporting YoungMinds to help tackle the wellbeing and mental health of young people.

Performing arts give children an opportunity to be open and expressive, imaginative and sociable. All of these skills build resilience and provide children with essential life skills and tools to face mental health issues.

We have renowned educational psychologist Dr Alison Daubney available to discuss how Stagecoach are teaming up with YoungMinds to help tackle mental health in children.
